NOAH'S ARK
To complete the Caucasus I took a mini van from Tbilisi and drove down across the border into Armenia. Yerevan the final destination.
A tense border crossing - for some - with the Armenians not to keen on visitors who had previously been to their arch enemy and neighbour, Azerbadjan.
The drive was scenic, but you could tell the disputed border (Nagorno-Karabakh) was near with army trucks driving around in the hills around us. But seriously, the countryside was beautiful.
And when you get closer to Yerevan, the massive mountain Ararak suddenly dooms up from the horizon. Impressive.
The city itself another surprise. An odd mix of both Sovjet and Parisian style with plenty of places to eat and drink outside and big promenades to walk across the city.
I bet it's not high on your list, but Armenia is a true hidden gem.
