A very early morning bus ride from El Calafate to the border with Chile to visit the Torres del Paine National Park.

I remember the exact day. It was April 29. How do I know? 

The border patrol officer was sitting in a small cabin watiching television where the wedding, half way opposite side of the earth, of Prins William with Cathy Middelton was being broadcasted.

We handed over our passport. Got stamped. And off we went. Just enought time to catch a glimpse of the ceremony.

Torrel del Paine was magnificent. You felt like you were at worlds end. Raw nature that swiftly turned against us at the end.

Luckily for me. By that time, I was enjoying a nice cold Chilean beer in the back in the bus.
