First intercontinental trip during the Pandemic. Suprisingly uncomplicated. And fortunately without any crowds.
Egypt was a new destination for me and I was blown away by the magnificent ancient structures it has to offer. Not just the pyramids, but perhaps more so Luxor and specifically the Karnak temple complex.
Yes, you are constantly approach by hustlers who like to make a buck. But the Egyptians were welcoming and kind people. Any place I went.
I flew into Cairo at night, a unique metropolise and experience in its own right, and woke up the next morning with a view on the Giza plateau.
From there, I either flew or took a train to Luxor and Aswan.
If you do your research, you can find great spots to eat. And where ever you choose to visit, rise early and beat the crowds as much as you can. 100% worth it!
